Tyler Scalise
Senior Project Geologist
Tyler joined the ESNW team in 2006 and has been directly involved in the wide variety of engineering geology and geotechnical services ESNW provides. His construction-monitoring experience includes earthwork observation and testing of site mass grading, evaluating existing fill, utility trench backfill, building foundation and slab subgrade preparation, pile-supported systems, slope stability, soil stabilization, retaining walls, rockeries, shoring, roadway preparations, and the implementation of quality, cost-efficient solutions specific to conditions encountered in the field. Tyler has experience with hundreds of unique construction projects throughout the greater Puget Sound region and is actively involved with mentoring our field staff. His knowledge of the depositional environments, geomorphology, and hydrogeology of both the Puget Sound area and Eastern Washington allows him to provide geotechnical site evaluation, original grade determination, site classification, geologic hazard assessment, project feasibility, development design, and site response evaluation over time.
