Steve Avril

Project Manager

Steve has been involved in the geotechnical field since 2000. Steve’s experience includes earthwork observation, density testing of fill soil, foundations, roadways, piles, slopes, and rockeries on a variety of residential and commercial projects. His laboratory experiences include Standard and Modified Proctor analysis, sieve and moisture analysis, and Atterberg limits. Steve can provide turbidity monitoring plans, turbidity monitoring services, and erosion control observations. Steve’s environmental experience includes contaminated soil removal and site remediation as well as bioremediation, including soil and water sampling and culturing of protozoan, fungal, and bacterial microbes for use as bioremediation vectors for in-site remediation of contaminated soil and water. Steve is also experienced with well monitoring and has a working knowledge of environmental and geotechnical equipment. Prior to his current position as a Project Geologist, Steve was a senior-level geotechnical field technician performing construction monitoring and project management.
