Mr. McGowan has over 17 years experience in conducting geological and geotechnical studies in a variety of work environments, from small land developments to the large mega-projects such as highways and high voltage transmission lines.  His professional experience includes collection of field data, monitoring construction sites, and conducting the necessary tests to ensure the project is done to specifications.  His experience also includes subsurface investigations, drilling and auguring operations, sample collection, soil bore logging, and groundwater monitoring well installation.  Mr. McGowan is a registered professional geologist and engineering geologist in the state of Washington.  Complimenting his field experience, he has a knowledge of federal regulations including SARA, CERCLA, and RECRA.  He is also familiar with EPA and Washington State Environmental Regulations, including the Growth Management Plan and "Best Management Practices" (WA 96-02), and the State of Oregon's Environmental Regulations.
